Galen's approximate birth date is March 30, 2013. He has been neutered, vaccinated to include a rabies vaccination and he has a registered microchip. His adoption is $150.00 + tax. Galen had lived in a home with many other cats. His previous owners meant well, but they were overwhelmed with the care and vetting for the animals in their home. Many were brought to a humane shelter when they could no longer care for them. Because they were scared in a shelter environment, outdoor barn living or euthanasia was thought to be the only option for them. These cats had never lived outdoors, so imagine how terrifying living alone in a barn would be for them! STAR thought that they deserved a chance to live the good life, indoors and a part of a family so we welcomed them in to our rescue family and gave them the time that they needed to feel comfortable. Galen is now coming out of his shell and is enjoying learning what it really means to be a loved member of a family! He is a quiet, a gentle giant and LOVES to be pet and roll around to have his belly rubbed. Although he has lived with many cats, he would prefer to be an only cat or possibly have a kitten who could grow up with him. He does not want to live with a dog though! He has great house manners and is calm and quiet. No crazy kitten shenanigans for this guy! Just chillin and hanging out with his peeps waiting for that much appreciated belly rub!
